Everyone belongs in the square.
Capital Squares works because every dancer looks out for every other dancer. Here’s what we promise each other, and what you can expect from us.

Anyone dances with anyone.
We teach positions, not genders. Dance with whoever’s next to you, and expect the same in return.

Mistakes are welcome.
Everyone goes the wrong way sometimes. We help each other reset, and we never make anyone feel bad for it.

No pressure, no agenda.
This is a social club, not a dating event. A friendly “no thanks” is always respected.

Comfort and consent come first.
Square dancing involves holding hands and turning together. You can step out at any time, and you can always ask someone to adjust how they hold your hand.

Respect, always.
We don’t tolerate harassment, discrimination or unkind behavior of any kind, on or off the dance floor.

Speak up, and we’ll listen.
If anything worries you, talk to Eva or any organizer on the night, or message us privately. We’ll handle it with care and in confidence.
